A beautiful place to relax. We strolled around the harbor. There are benches everywhere for resting, and the view of the water is unique 😎. It's well worth a visit. A must-see. There are also a few restaurants, a café, and an ice cream parlor.

It was a nice idea at first. Now it's just a concrete jungle. Who would want to live there when the houses are so close together that I can see into my neighbor's bedroom or bathroom? Horrible. Even the restaurants and ice cream parlors are all blocked off with concrete bollards. It feels like a Christmas market. Is that nice? Especially since when the sun is shining, you're always sitting in the cold, in the shade. Who thought of that?

A popular destination for walkers and cyclists on the Rhine-Herne Canal. Many cyclists stop here to rest and relax. But, but... unfortunately, this idyllic setting can only be enjoyed from morning until late afternoon. Later in the day, the traffic becomes unpleasant. Residents also complain about noise from speeding drivers and show-offs, or from campers who litter. It's a shame; the marina could be a real asset to Gelsenkirchen.

Personally, I'm not the type who needs to go for a walk every day. But when I do, I prefer to go near the water. Marina Graf Bismarck is a beautiful place for a walk, with plenty of space to sit and relax.

A highly recommended place; Gelsenkirchen can be beautiful too. 😊
