Kleingärtner-Verein Glückauf Buer Schaffrath e.V. | Events
The Kleingärtner-Verein Glückauf Buer Schaffrath e.V. stands for garden culture, community, and collective club life in the Gelsenkirchen district of Schaffrath. The facility is located on Giebelstraße in the postal code area 45897 and connects small garden plots with a club house that also serves as a meeting point for communal gatherings. Those looking for events, a hall for a celebration, or a quiet place for encounters will find here a location with a distinctly different character than a classic event hall: The focus is not on large stage productions, but on personal exchange, proximity to the garden area, and the established club community.
Publicly accessible information describes the club house with a dining area, a spacious bar area, and a banquet hall that is said to be suitable for events with up to about 100 people. A flexible partition wall allows for spatial adjustments according to these details. Additionally, an outdoor area with seating options and a separate access from outside to the hall is mentioned. The address is given as Giebelstraße 1, 45897 Gelsenkirchen; for city events in the club house, Giebelstraße 32 is mentioned as the access road. Since details regarding rental, equipment, prices, and dates can change, interested parties should confirm the details directly with the club.
The Kleingärtner-Verein is particularly interesting for people who want to get to know a communal place in Schaffrath, attend a club event, or check the possibilities of the club house for a private gathering. The following information organizes the publicly available facts and shows what visitors, organizers, and guests should pay attention to when planning, traveling, and making booking inquiries.
Kleingärtner-Verein Glückauf Buer Schaffrath e.V. Events and Club Life
The most important search interest surrounding the Kleingärtner-Verein Glückauf Buer Schaffrath e.V. concerns events and community dates. Unlike a concert arena or a theater, the program of a small garden club is usually not disseminated through large ticket portals or extensive cultural calendars. Dates can be announced internally within the club, through postings, personal contacts, or local networks. Therefore, it is sensible to distinguish between public events, internal club meetings, and private bookings of the club house.
An example of the public use of the club house is provided by the dates of the local prevention councils of the city of Gelsenkirchen. For the Beckhausen/Schaffrath area, the club house of KGV Glückauf Schaffrath is mentioned as a venue. The city held several meetings there in 2026, including on February 25, July 7, October 6, and December 1, each starting at 6 PM. These meetings are described as publicly accessible sessions and show that the club house is not exclusively used for the members of the small garden club. At the same time, this does not imply a permanent cultural program or a general event schedule for the entire year.
The club life of a small garden club typically includes gardening, maintaining communal areas, exchanging among tenants, and meetings in the club house. For the location of Glückauf Schaffrath, the club name, location, and function as a meeting point are primarily documented publicly. Concrete statements about regularly occurring summer festivals, garden parties, club evenings, or public celebrations should therefore not be presented as confirmed dates unless they are confirmed by the club itself.
Anyone wishing to attend an event should inquire in advance about the date, admission, registration, start time, and access. At a public meeting, participation may be possible without a classic ticket, while a private celebration is accessible only to invited guests. Last-minute changes are also possible. For organizers, it is advisable to make an inquiry with details about the number of guests, desired room layout, catering, technology, setup times, and cleaning. This will clarify whether the club house is suitable for the specific occasion and what obligations are associated with its use.
Club House Glückauf Schaffrath as an Event Space
The club house is the central point of contact for anyone looking for the event space of KGV Glückauf Schaffrath. Publicly accessible descriptions mention a dining area with a bar and a banquet hall for up to around 100 guests. Thus, the location is generally suitable for smaller to medium-sized gatherings, such as private family celebrations, club evenings, neighborhood meetings, or informational events. However, the stated capacity should be understood as a guideline. Whether 100 people can actually fit depends on the seating arrangement, the size of the dance or presentation area, escape routes, and the respective approval situation.
A flexible partition wall is described as a special feature. Such a division can be helpful if an organizer needs different areas, such as a seating area for dining, a smaller reception area, or a separated part for conversations. At a family celebration, the room may be organized differently than at a club meeting. Before making a binding plan, it should be clarified whether the partition wall is actually available, how it is operated, and whether the desired layout works with the existing seating.
Additionally, a separate access from the outdoor area to the hall is mentioned. Such access can facilitate setup since decorations, tables, chairs, or other materials do not necessarily have to be transported through the bar or dining area. A separate access can also be practical for deliveries. The specific dimensions, accessibility for delivery vehicles, and usage times are not fully described publicly. Therefore, these points should be explicitly clarified during a visit or phone inquiry.
Regarding the outdoor area, seating options for warm days are mentioned. The combination of indoor space and garden environment gives the club house its own character. Guests can sit outside in suitable weather while the hall serves as a weather-independent area. It should be noted that outdoor areas are not automatically part of every rental. It is possible that certain areas may only be used after prior agreement or that rules regarding noise, waste, lighting, and event end times apply.
For a fair assessment, interested parties should not only focus on capacity. Important questions concern sanitary facilities, type of heating, kitchen or catering options, available tables and chairs, sound system, cooling, cleaning, deposit, and handover. Since the online available information does not replace a complete technical equipment list, direct coordination with the club is essential. Especially for larger celebrations, a visit before booking is advisable.
Hall for Private Celebrations in Gelsenkirchen-Schaffrath
The search term hall for private celebrations Gelsenkirchen often leads to club houses, community centers, and gastronomic spaces. The club house of the Kleingärtner-Verein Glückauf Buer Schaffrath e.V. is publicly described as a space that can be used for gatherings and celebrations. The stated capacity of up to about 100 people makes the hall generally interesting for milestone birthdays, family celebrations, anniversaries, club parties, or smaller corporate events. However, whether private rental is currently offered is not clearly evident from the available information and must be directly inquired.
When making an inquiry, the desired date should be indicated as flexibly as possible. Weekends and holidays may be more in demand than weekdays. Additionally, it is important whether the celebration takes place during the day or in the evening and when setup and teardown should begin. An organizer should also indicate whether a dance floor, buffet, presentation, or children's area is planned. This information helps the club to assess the suitability of the hall more realistically.
Another important point is catering. Public descriptions indicate that a bar area and a dining room are available. However, this does not automatically imply that drinks, staff, dishes, or catering are provided by the club. Some club houses operate with fixed drink rules, others allow outside catering or require separate arrangements. The use of the kitchen, cooling facilities, and sanitary rooms should also be clarified definitively before booking.
For private celebrations, the handover of the room is also crucial. This includes a written handover protocol, clear cleaning rules, and an agreement on damages or lost keys. Organizers should know whether the room needs to be returned broom-clean, fully cleaned, or in a specific condition. The disposal of waste, cleaning of dishes, and maintenance of the outdoor area should also be explicitly discussed. These questions may initially seem secondary but can prevent misunderstandings after the celebration.
The location in a small garden area shapes the atmosphere. On one hand, it offers a green environment and more distance from typical city center operations. On the other hand, neighborhood, quiet times, and access rules may play a role. Loud music, outdoor sound systems, fireworks, or very late use should therefore not be assumed. Those planning a quiet, personal celebration in the club environment and willing to respect local rules can find an appropriate setting in the club house. The final suitability depends on the current equipment, the condition of the hall, and the club's conditions.
Giebelstraße 1 and Access via Giebelstraße 32
The location details of the Kleingärtner-Verein Glückauf Buer Schaffrath e.V. deserve special attention. In industry and review listings, the address is given as Giebelstraße 1, 45897 Gelsenkirchen. Other public notices, especially city announcements and dates of the prevention council, mention access to the club house via Giebelstraße 32. These different house numbers do not necessarily have to represent a contradiction: In small garden areas, the club address, postal address, and actual access may differ.
Therefore, those arriving for the first time should not only enter house number 1 into a navigation device. For individual events, access may be provided via Giebelstraße 32. The city of Gelsenkirchen used this access information during the public hearing on development plan No. 455 and also for the dates of the local prevention council Beckhausen/Schaffrath. For the specific event, the invitation or the club's phone information is therefore decisive.
The small garden area is located in the vicinity of Schaffrath, a green area of Gelsenkirchen north of the A2 motorway. A landscape planning description classifies the facility as part of the open spaces between Gelsenkirchen and Gladbeck. It mentions well-maintained small garden plots, a parking lot, and an adjoining farm. To the south, the gardens border a wooded noise barrier wall of the A2. This location explains the special contrast of the venue: On one hand, it is located in an urban area, while on the other, the garden area conveys a green and small-scale environment.
For guests, this location means that the last meters may lead through an access road or path within the facility. In darkness, bad weather, or larger deliveries, travel and access should be checked in advance. Organizers should also clarify whether vehicles are allowed to drive up to the club house for loading and unloading or whether materials must be carried from a parking lot. For weddings, birthdays, or events with older guests, the distance from the parking space to the entrance may also be relevant.
The city notices also show that the club house is used as a clearly designated meeting point in the district. For public meetings, the address and access were specifically indicated, which facilitates findability. Nevertheless, a general location indication does not replace a current route description for every occasion. When booking, the club should inform which entrance is open, where guests should ring or register, and whether the access is barrier-free.
Parking at KGV Glückauf Schaffrath and Practical Arrival
The issue of parking is particularly important for a location outside a classic city center. In a regional description of the small garden area Glückauf Buer Schaffrath, a parking lot is mentioned. However, publicly available information does not contain a reliable listing of how many parking spaces are available, whether they are reserved exclusively for members, or whether special use is organized during events.
For smaller gatherings, the existing parking situation may be sufficient. However, for a celebration with up to 100 guests, it cannot be assumed that all visitors can park directly at the club house. Organizers should inform their guests early about the access and form carpooling if possible. For larger events, it may be advisable to clarify in advance with the club whether additional areas can be used. Parking on access roads, in front of gates, or on private property should be avoided to ensure that emergency routes and the neighborhood are not disturbed.
It is particularly important to distinguish between the postal address Giebelstraße 1 and the access mentioned for city events via Giebelstraße 32. Guests should pay close attention to this information on the invitation. An event may be announced at the club address while the actual access occurs via another house number. For deliveries of catering, drinks, or decorations, a phone coordination is advisable, as drivers with large vehicles may not automatically reach the hall.
No sufficiently concrete information regarding public transport is available in the sources regarding a specific stop or a direct connection. Therefore, the route should be checked with a traffic planner on the day of travel. This also applies to construction sites, detours, and events in the vicinity. Those arriving by bicycle should clarify whether there are parking facilities at the club house. An officially documented bicycle parking facility is not known.
Barrier-free access should also not be assumed. The public descriptions mention an outdoor area and a separate access but do not provide complete information about ramps, door widths, barrier-free toilets, or step-free paths. Guests with wheelchairs, walkers, or limited mobility should therefore inquire directly before their visit. Organizers can supplement this information in the invitation and, if necessary, reserve seats near the entrance.
For a smooth process, parking, access, lighting, and the return route should be part of the event planning. For evening appointments, guests should know whether the path from the parking lot to the club house is adequately lit. In bad weather, paths within a garden area can be slippery or uneven. The practical recommendation is therefore: Confirm the access before important appointments, allow enough time for parking search, and not only provide the postal address but also the specific entrance.
Kleingartenanlage Glückauf Schaffrath between Garden Culture and District
The special quality of KGV Glückauf Schaffrath lies in the connection between small garden area and neighborhood. A small garden club is more than a plot with individual parcels. It is a place where people garden together, maintain paths and communal areas, and develop social contacts. This creates an atmosphere for visitors that differs from anonymous event venues. Instead of a standardized event backdrop, green spaces, garden plots, and the club house shape the experience.
The publicly accessible landscape description designates the facility as part of an open space between Gelsenkirchen and Gladbeck. It refers to the small garden plots, the parking lot, and the adjoining farm. At the same time, the proximity to the A2 and the noise barrier wall is described. This shows that the location should not be understood as a completely secluded natural spot. Its uniqueness lies rather in the combination of urban accessibility, small-scale garden structure, and a club house for communal use.
This environment can be a real advantage for events. A reception in the green, conversations in the outdoor area, or a celebration with garden atmosphere feel more personal than a neutral hall. Families with ties to the district can connect the place with club life and neighborhood. Public informational events also benefit from a familiar meeting point that does not have the character of an anonymous conference center.
At the same time, the location brings special requirements. A garden area is a sensitive space where consideration for plots, paths, plants, and residents is important. Guests should not walk over foreign garden areas, enter beds, and dispose of waste completely. For outdoor events, noise, lighting, and usage times must be particularly observed. A good celebration respects the character of the facility and leaves the outdoor area as it was found.
The name Glückauf linguistically refers to the regional mining and Ruhr area tradition, although no detailed founding history of the club can be derived from the available sources. It is securely documented as a small garden club in Gelsenkirchen-Schaffrath and the use of the club house as a meeting point. Those wanting to learn more about the founding, membership structure, plots, club history, or current garden projects should contact the club directly. Especially with local clubs, much information is not found on large websites but in statutes, postings, and personal conversations.
Tickets, Booking, and Contact with the Club House
The search term tickets can lead to misunderstandings for this location. For a club house of this type, no regularly operated ticket shop is publicly documented. At public meetings or local gatherings, participation can occur without a classic entrance, while private celebrations are accessible only to invited guests. Whether an event is public, requires registration, or has a cost contribution depends on the respective date.
Those looking for tickets for the Kleingärtner-Verein Glückauf Buer Schaffrath e.V. should first check the specific event name and the organizer. Not every event in the club house is organized by the small garden club itself. The city of Gelsenkirchen may use the club house for public participation formats, for example. In this case, the city's information applies. For a club festival, postings or direct club information may be crucial. For a private celebration, there are generally no public tickets.
For a hall inquiry, a message or phone call should contain as concrete information as possible. This includes the desired date, time, occasion, expected number of guests, desired room layout, and the question about indoor and outdoor areas. Additionally, interested parties should inquire about rental price, deposit, drink regulations, kitchen, cleaning, music, parking options, access, and liability. A clear inquiry facilitates the club's review and reduces later follow-up questions.
The publicly listed phone number of the Kleingärtner-Verein Glückauf Buer Schaffrath e.V. is 0209/592080. Whether this number is reachable at the desired times, whether an answering machine is used, or whether a current contact person is responsible should be checked during the first contact. The online directories do not contain a comprehensive booking platform or a reliably confirmed calendar for available dates. Therefore, direct contact is the most important way to obtain current information.
Before booking, the contract or usage agreement should be read thoroughly. Crucial are the start and end of use, handover, keys, cleaning, liability for damages, and rules regarding noise. For events with many guests, a responsible person may also be named who is reachable during the evening. If external service providers such as caterers, DJs, or decorators are involved, their setup times and requirements should be coordinated in advance.
Careful preparation is particularly advisable because publicly accessible reviews reflect different impressions of the equipment and condition of the club house. Such reviews are individual experiences and do not replace a current visit. Interested parties should view the room themselves, ask questions about the equipment, and document the agreements made during the visit in writing. This way, it can be realistically decided whether the event space meets their expectations.

I can't share the other opinions. My friend celebrated her birthday there. The day after the party, the clubhouse had to be completely cleaned, including scrubbing toilets and washing floors (I've never experienced that, usually you just leave the place broom clean), but whatever. Not really a problem, but it wasn't clean beforehand and it smelled terrible. They really need to do a deep clean there. The hall is quite in need of renovation; while dancing, you had to be careful not to fall because the floor was patched up with tape everywhere. Unfortunately, my friend had no other choice since she couldn't get another hall on short notice, but we won't be celebrating there again.

The clubhouse is clean, has a spacious bar area including a dining room and hall for events of up to about 100 people, which can be divided by a flexible partition. A positive aspect is that the hall has an additional outside access, which is very useful for events (setup, etc.). For warm days, there's also an outdoor area with suitable furniture.

Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to find another hall for my daughter's celebration. During the handover, I was overwhelmed by a terrible smell. The lady who handed me the keys said the radio must run 24 hours because there are minks under the building, causing an unbearable stench. The ongoing music would keep them away. The hall itself is in dire need of renovation (tripping hazards on the floor). We've celebrated several events in various other clubhouses and had to leave the hall broom clean. The rent + deposit for this hall is not exactly cheap, considering we had to do a deep clean, including the dirt that was already there. Additionally, we were supposed to wash all the floor cloths and washcloths at home and bring them back. I've never experienced anything like that. The outdoor area is also very run-down. That was the first and last celebration in this clubhouse.
