Nice place to play with your little children.

Play area – best avoided. Small children get lost in the crowd – older children are disappointed because there's no space. They do offer some nice activities and the staff are friendly. Unfortunately, there are no classes for working parents, and the office doesn't open until 9:00 a.m., so there's never a chance to call before work. The play area is also too small and overcrowded. Furthermore, the parents are almost exclusively sitting at tables on their phones; one mother was reading and actually wearing noise-canceling headphones. The staff didn't intervene. Consequently, I spent all my time preventing older children from simply running over my little niece. The toddler toys available for loan were very limited and in poor condition. The staff member apologized for this. I won't be going to the play area there again, as it's usually too crowded, and you just end up with a disappointed child anyway.

A heartfelt thank you to the Gelsenkirchen Family Office. My two young sons (2½ years and 14 months) are always welcomed there with such love, patience, and warmth that they immediately feel safe and understood. The entire team is incredibly helpful and empathetic, and they take the time not just for applications, but for the people behind them. Thank you for your wonderful work and your warm approach; it truly means a lot to us.

I visited the facility with my two-year-old son. He was very excited to play in the play area, but we were told it was already full. I fully understand and respect safety rules and capacity limits. However, when my son burst into a violent crying fit because he was so eager to play, I politely asked the staff to let him in for a few minutes—simply so he could calm down, as at that age he doesn't yet understand why he's not allowed in. Unfortunately, my request was categorically rejected—without compassion, without understanding, without an alternative offer, or even a kind word. I would have appreciated more humanity and empathy in this situation—especially when dealing with young children. The incident was very stressful for both of us. I hope that the staff will be better prepared to handle such sensitive situations in the future.

Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience. The staff was unfriendly, and I felt discriminated against at times. When it's full, children and mothers are rudely asked to leave. This creates an unwelcome atmosphere and is completely unsuitable for families. Not recommended.
