Discovering the digital world together: Discourse and Gaming in Gelsenkirchen
A social morning with coffee, snacks, and new ideas awaits older people and those who have aged at the digital coffee clatch Discourse and Gaming. On November 3, 2026, MiR.LAB at Rundhöfchen invites you to learn about modern technologies in a relaxed, appreciative atmosphere and engage in conversation with others.
Curiosity, exchange, and social participation
For those who want to use smartphones or tablets more confidently while also cultivating friendly contacts, this offers a senior-friendly community experience. Participants critically, artistically, and curiously try out digital applications. This leads to understandable conversations about new possibilities, personal experiences, and everyday life with digital media.
From artificial intelligence to virtual reality
The program combines practical digital education with creative impulses. Examples range from songwriting with artificial intelligence to painting in virtual reality. Everyone can participate at their own pace. The open format supports age-appropriate learning, mental activity, and social participation.
Senior-friendly access to MiR.LAB
MiR.LAB has a ground-level entrance, barrier-free parking spaces, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom in the café next door. The Heinrich-König-Platz stop is accessible by elevator. Guide dogs for the blind are welcome, and helpful staff is available for questions. The event is recommended for people aged 55 and older.
Conclusion: A morning for meeting and well-being
Discourse and Gaming combines digital curiosity with personal closeness. Visitors experience community, orientation, and joy in learning over coffee, conversations, and creative experiments. Participation is free of charge. Registration at mirlab.info@mirgelsenkirchen.de is recommended.
