Wood Burning Art: Creating Creative Traces with Fire

When fire meets wood, personal artworks emerge from lines, shades, and motifs. The three-hour pyrography course at the Gelsenkirchen Art School invites adults to discover the fascinating technique of wood burning and to make their own ideas visible.

A Special Event Experience for Creatives

Using a hot tool, patterns and unique motifs are burnt into the wood surface. Every movement leaves a characteristic trace and transforms the natural material into an individual picture carrier. The calm working atmosphere creates space for concentration, design, and personal development.

For Beginners Without Prior Knowledge

The course is aimed at adults and is explicitly suitable for beginners. The organization and event planning of the Gelsenkirchen Art School e. V. enables easy access to a time-honored design technique. The focus is on practical experimentation, joy in the material, and personal creative expression.

Pyrography Between Craft and Art

Wood burning combines crafts precision with artistic freedom. Fine contours, graphic patterns, and expressive motifs develop directly from the interplay of heat, wood, and movement. This creates an intense art experience with visible results.
