Environmental Scouts in Gelsenkirchen: Discover Nature and Get Active Together
On November 12, 2026, the free participatory program Environmental Scouts invites you to the neighborhood store in Schalke. From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, everything revolves around nature, the environment, and creative ideas shaped by the participants.
Join in, try out, and contribute your own ideas
The varied environmental program combines practical actions with community learning. Depending on interests, plant beds, natural scrubs, or creative works with natural colors are created. Participants have a say in the selection of activities – a concept that puts participation and personal ideas at the forefront.
Vibrant Event Atmosphere at the Neighborhood Store Schalke
The neighborhood store in Schalke provides a personal meeting place in the district, offering an ideal setting for the event experience. In a manageable atmosphere, conversations, collaborative trials, and visible results come to life. Natural materials, colors, and practical planting ideas make the afternoon a meaningful leisure activity for children, families, and interested people from the neighborhood.
Environmental Education with Practical Benefits
The Environmental Scouts project is coordinated by Alexander Libera, who works as a neighborhood worker for the Social Welfare Organization St. Georg in Gelsenkirchen. The organization connects environmental education, neighborhood, and active participation. From an event management perspective, the format is convincing due to its clear target audience, short duration, and direct practical relevance.
