Environmental Scouts in Gelsenkirchen: Discovering Nature and Creatively Shaping
On October 29, 2026, the Schalke neighborhood store transforms into an open participation space for nature, environment, and sustainable ideas. Participants in the free offer of the Environmental Scouts decide which actions are on the program.
Participate, try out, and contribute your own ideas
The focus is on practical event experiences. Depending on the collective decision, planting beds, natural scrubs, or creative works with natural colors will be developed. Thus, the offer combines environmental education with creative design and immediate experimentation.
Experience sustainability with all senses
Soil, plants, colors, and natural materials make the event atmosphere tangible. The format is aimed at people who not only want to learn about nature but also wish to actively shape it. The audience's atmosphere thrives on collaborative development and open exchange.
A project of the Social Work St. George
The event is organized by the Social Work St. George e.V. The Environmental Scouts project is coordinated by Alexander Libera. Previous focuses include environmental education, sustainable gardening, raised beds, water conservation, and creative actions in the neighborhood. The creative garden of the social work serves as a meeting place and green experimentation field.
Important Information for Participation
The event takes place on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Schalke neighborhood store, Liboriusstraße 63a, 45881 Gelsenkirchen. Prior contact with Alexander Libera is requested.
