Lecture, June 12, 2026, 7:00 PM, A Shop "DECISIONAL GOODS STORE is an interactive sound installation, a forum for diverse voices on the topic of (Post)Colonialism and the question of how we can decolonize. We invite you to open the drawers of the shop furniture and listen closely. “How to decolonize?” we have asked very different people. In their answers, they bring their perspectives and expertise on our colonial heritage and the question of how we can deal with it. They look at both the past and our present world - locally and globally. The DECISIONAL GOODS STORE is not only a speaking space but also a sounding space with a sound composition by the musician KMRU." The collaboration between Stefan Demming (concept, design, and construction) and the Kenyan musician KMRU (Joseph Kamaru, sound installation) was created for the international festival FLURSTÜCKE 2024 in Münster and is now being reassembled as a “store”. Contributions from Moustapha Diallo, Camilo Pachón, Tina Adomako, Sister Bernard, Bibiane Benadio, Christiane Cantauw, Florian Carl, Ernest Chigozie Onu, Tahir Della, Andreas Eckl, Emmanuel Edoror, Dominik Eickhoff, Jessica Ekomane, Philipp Erdmann, Ursula Frohne, Noa K. Kelly, Nadja Khan, Maali, Patrick Manko Lutumba Madiata, Carlos Herrera Mahoney, Mnyaka Sururu Mboro, Tatjana Niederberghaus, Barbara Rommé, Milena Täschner, Vinicius, and Gifty Claresa Wiafe will be heard.
