Silent Reading in the Central Library

Reading, September 16, 2026, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, City Library - Education Center - Central Library After the vacation, everyday life quickly returns: appointments, news, long to-do lists. The new series "Silent Reading" at the Gelsenkirchen City Library intentionally creates space for the opposite. Whether novel, short story, non-fiction book, or newspaper: during Silent Reading, the group reads while still being completely alone. A quiet hour just for your own book, without distractions and without time pressure. It starts on Wednesday, September 16, from 7 to 9 PM at the Central Library in the Education Center. Additional dates will follow on October 14, November 18, and December 16.
