Magic of Stories and Creative Fun for Little Explorers
On November 12, 2026, the Horst neighborhood library invites families to a loving afternoon of reading and crafting. Children aged 2 to 7 years will experience an age-appropriate story as Kamishibai or picture book cinema together with their parents, diving into an imaginative world full of images, language, and wonder.
Reading with Big Pictures and Small Adventures
The Kamishibai, a Japanese paper theater, combines spoken word and visible images in a particularly child-friendly way. A picture book cinema can also be part of the program. The focused yet cozy atmosphere supports language development, imagination, and the joy of listening.
Getting Creative Together
After the story, the practical part begins: children and adults craft together. While cutting, gluing, and creating, young visitors can try out their own ideas, discover materials, and deepen their learning experience creatively. The shared result becomes a beautiful memory of a relaxed family experience.
Age-appropriate, Manageable, and Family-friendly
The offer is aimed at children aged 2 to 7 years and is designed as a parent-child event. A duration of about one hour creates a suitable setting for young children. Reading and crafting promote language, fine motor skills, concentration, and a sense of community – with children's laughter, curiosity, and time spent together at the center.
Conclusion: A Valuable Family Time in Horst
Families can expect a free, creative afternoon with stories, pictures, and joint design. Those who want to give their child fun, imagination, and closeness will experience a warm and child-friendly cultural offer at the Horst neighborhood library. A phone registration at 0209 169-6126 is required.
