Playing, moving, experiencing nature: Family time at the Schloss Berge Playground

Together Active: A Joyful Family Experience at the Playground

On October 24, 2026, the city of Gelsenkirchen invites parents with children aged 3 to 7 to a free parent-child activity at the Schloss Berge playground. In the open air, movement, playing together, and nature experiences combine for a child-friendly break for the whole family.

Play, Movement, and Children's Laughter

Here, the family becomes a team: Through varied group activities, children and parents experience play, fun, and excitement. Free playtimes give young participants space to develop their own ideas, discover movement joy, and connect with other children.

Age-Appropriate Fun Learning in Nature

The offering is aimed at children aged 3 to 7 years, thus tailored to an important phase of child development. Joint movement strengthens coordination, self-confidence, and body awareness. Free play supports independence, imagination, and social learning experiences while parents and children consciously enjoy their time together.

Joint Outdoor Activities

The Schloss Berge playground offers the right environment for a nature-oriented family experience. Fresh air, movement, and varied play stimuli create a relaxed atmosphere. Even in changeable weather, the outdoor offering is intended as a communal activity in green spaces.

Reliably Organized for Families

The organizer is the Family Promotion and Family Education team of the Department for Children, Youth, and Families of the city of Gelsenkirchen. Participation is free of charge. Registration is required. For questions, the Family Promotion can be contacted at the given contact option of the city of Gelsenkirchen.

Conclusion: Families can expect an active, child-friendly morning program with group games, free playtimes, and plenty of room for curiosity, children’s laughter, and joint discovery. Those seeking active family time in nature will experience an uncomplicated outing with a real sense of community at the Schloss Berge playground.
