Dinosaurs - in a land before our time: Great joy of exploration for little researchers

On Dino Trails: An exciting family experience for little explorers

On October 17, 2026, children aged 4 to 7 will dive into the fascinating world of dinosaurs together with their parents. The free parent-child offer at the Municipal Day Care Center for Children at Steeler Straße 96 combines child-friendly knowledge, mutual amazement, and creative learning fun.

How big were dinosaurs really?

The family experience focuses on the life of these special animals: Children discover how big dinosaurs were, how many different dino species there were, and why these fascinating creatures became extinct. The content is age-appropriate and invites curious children to ask questions and discover connections.

From dino fan to little expert

With vivid information and child-friendly communication, an exciting learning experience around nature, earth history, and development is created. Children can live out their curiosity, gather new knowledge, and embark on a discovery journey together with their parents. Children's laughter, wonder, and shared time make the morning a special family moment.

Creative conclusion with a keepsake

After the discovery tour, there will be crafting. Each child creates a wonderful keepsake to take home, along with many new impressions. The creative offer supports children's development, promotes concentration, and makes knowledge playfully tangible.

Child-friendly, together, and safe

The offer is explicitly aimed at parents with children aged 4 to 7 years. Joint participation creates a familiar environment where children can ask questions, discover, and participate in their own way. The event takes place in a municipal day care center for children and is run by the family support of the city of Gelsenkirchen.

Conclusion: Dinosaur fans can look forward to a free morning full of knowledge, creativity, and joint exploratory joy. If you want to give your child an age-appropriate learning experience filled with wonder and children's laughter, experience this family event best live on-site.
