Colorful Paper Autumn: Creative Holiday Fun for Children in Gelsenkirchen
When the leaves dance outside, it becomes colorful in the Gelsenkirchen Art School: Children aged six and older will create a personal light catcher mobile for home during the holiday course. Paper, acrylic paints, and imagination come together for a special family experience filled with children's laughter, curiosity, and visible learning fun.
Discover Bright Autumn Colors
At the beginning, the children paint large sheets of paper with colorful patterns and warm autumn colors. They experience how colors work, shapes are formed, and a creative artwork grows from their own idea. The open design strengthens imagination and provides each child with space for an individual learning experience.
Cutting, gluing, and designing
From the self-designed paper, foxes, leaves, and other autumn shapes are created. Step by step, the motifs are cut out, glued, and connected to form a floating mobile. This age-appropriate activity combines fine motor development with focused work and promotes independence, perception, and joy in one's own design.
A Personal Light Catcher for Home
In the end, a very personal mobile is created that the children can take home. The finished artwork serves as a reminder of shared time, creative curiosity, and a special holiday day. The child-friendly learning experience connects practical activity, aesthetic education, and playful discovery in a protected indoor space.
Good to Know for Families
The course is aimed at children aged six and older and begins on October 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The participation fee is 10.00 euros. Families can get information and register at the Gelsenkirchen Art School at 0209 / 6138 772.
