Discovering photography with open eyes during the autumn break
In the holiday course Autumn Break – Eyes Open – Camera Ready!, children aged 10 and above experience the world of photography at the Art School Gelsenkirchen. With a smartphone or their own camera, they search for exciting motifs, capture special moments, and develop their own personal perspective on the surroundings.
Exciting motifs and creative perspectives
An ordinary place suddenly becomes a photo motif: The children try out different perspectives, discover interesting image sections, and observe how light changes a shot. This creates a child-friendly learning experience that connects curiosity, creativity, and careful observation.
Photography as a learning experience
The course playfully conveys the basics of photography. The participants consciously create images, experiment with light moods, and implement their own small photo projects. Thus, this family experience strengthens perception, expressiveness, and confidence in one's own creative idea.
Holiday course with fun and personal touch
The focus is on the joy of trying, learning together, and the individual view of the world. Children photograph with their smartphone or a camera and gain practical experience in a supervised art school environment. The course is open to children aged 10 and above.
Dates and participation
The course takes place from October 26th to 30th, 2026, each day from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The participation fee is 10.00 euros. For information and registration, the Art School Gelsenkirchen can be reached by phone at 0209 / 6138 772.
