An evening of music and aid
On Sunday, November 8, 2026, the glass hall of the KBZ Schloss Horst in Gelsenkirchen will be transformed into a special concert stage. The benefit concert with the State Police Orchestra NRW brings together melodious orchestral art, historical ambiance, and social engagement.
Between Classic, Jazz, and Well-Known Pop Songs
The audience can expect a versatile repertoire featuring classical music, jazz, and reinterpretations of popular pop songs. The symphonic wind ensemble combines precise synchronization, powerful brass colors, and a differentiated dynamic for a varied concert experience.
Professional Orchestral Art from North Rhine-Westphalia
The State Police Orchestra NRW was formed in 1999 from five police music corps and is now one of the professional ensembles in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to the symphonic wind orchestra, the ensemble works in various formations, including big band, jazz-rock-pop band, and smaller woodwind and brass ensembles. The repertoire ranges from concert music and popular classical to rock, pop, swing, and film music.
Music with Concrete Impact
The concert evening is dedicated to solidarity. The proceeds will benefit the organization Gelsenkirchen packs on – Warm through the Night. This initiative supports homeless people in Gelsenkirchen with regular evening tours providing food, clothing, and further assistance. Thus, each concert moment carries not only its musical value but also a social significance.
Schloss Horst as a Mood-Setting Concert Venue
The glass hall of the KBZ Schloss Horst offers the perfect backdrop for the blend of historical setting and modern stage performance. As the first orchestral sounds fill the room, a unique live atmosphere is created, characterized by festive acoustics, shining instruments, and an engaged audience mood.
Conclusion: An Evening for the Ears and for the Community
The benefit concert with the State Police Orchestra NRW promises a diverse musical evening featuring classical, jazz, and pop in a special setting. Those who wish to experience live music while supporting a social initiative should mark November 8, 2026, in their calendars.
